Miles Express, in collaboration with its local US partner PGL and the University of Malta, has successfully completed a crucial trial shipment to SpaceX in California.

This strategic delivery marks a significant milestone in ensuring the efficiency and reliability of future transports, particularly those involving sensitive materials and critical timelines.

The trial shipment was conducted to allow SpaceX to evaluate the volume of boxes required for upcoming missions. By providing this sample shipment, Miles Express allows SpaceX to accurately assess their logistical needs in advance, ensuring a smooth and streamlined process for future shipments.

“We are thrilled to have executed this trial shipment with precision and within the expected timeframe,” said Martin Ferry, CEO of Miles Express. “This initiative is not only about delivering goods; it’s about fostering a partnership that ensures the highest standards of safety and efficiency.”

The shipment was delivered by express service, arriving at SpaceX’s California site just 48 hours after dispatch. This rapid delivery underscores Miles Express’s commitment to excellence in time-sensitive shipments, particularly those related to the aerospace sector.

As part of this collaboration, the University of Malta, led by Professor Joseph Borg, has been entrusted to analyze blood samples from astronauts involved in the Polaris Dawn mission and other missions. This work is a continuation of Professor Borg’s leadership in Maleth and his extensive studies on the effects of spaceflight on human biology, in partnership with various agencies and organizations including SpaceX. The results of these analyses are critical, contributing valuable insights to aerospace medicine and the health of astronauts during space missions.

“The collaboration between Miles Express, PGL, and the University of Malta is more than just a logistical success,” said Professor Joseph Borg. “It represents a significant contribution to the field of space biology and medicine, ensuring that precious samples reach their destination safely and promptly, allowing us to continue our vital research.”

The trial shipment also provided an opportunity to thoroughly analyze the chosen transport route, enabling Miles Express and its partners to identify and mitigate any potential risks in future shipments. This proactive approach is in line with Miles Express’s commitment to continuous improvement and excellence in service.

As SpaceX continues to push the boundaries of space exploration, Miles Express, PGL, and the University of Malta are dedicated to supporting their mission with reliable logistics, cutting-edge research, and a shared commitment to innovation.
